Knowledge Lab x Tech Justice Lab Present: Negotiating the Uncertain Ethics of Emerging Technologies, Zine and Button Making In-Person

The Tech Justice Lab's keynote speaker this year is Dr. Linda Kotut (April 9th, 5:30-6:30). Dr. Lindah Kotut’s research is at the intersection of human computer interaction, Indigenous Knowledge, and cybersecurity. At the keynote, Dr. Kotut will share insights about her research on AI-based technologies, the murky ethics of informed consent, the technology asymmetries faced by under-resourced communities, and how their adaptive use of existing technologies challenges our understanding of researchers’ responsibilities.

This event is another opportunity to engage with the core message of Dr. Kotut's talk and use zines and button making to evaluate the uncertain ethics of emerging technologies. This is event is open for everyone, attendance of the keynote presentation not required.
